Kill Hannah is an rock band,more precisely an alternative rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois.The band members include Mat [Matthieu] Devine (vocals, guitar), Dan Wiese (guitar), Greg Corner (bass), and Elias Mallin (drums). The band’s name came from Mat’s ex-girlfriend,Hannah Eckberg.The two ex-lovers met at a college in Normal, Illinois and it was supposed to be an intense relationship because the break up drove Mat crazy.In 1993 he decides to pass over making a band where he could express his feelings.
The song that made the band extremely successful was “Lips like morphine” and the lyrics sound like this: "I want a girl with lips like morphine/Knock me out every time they touch me/I wanna feel that kiss just crush me/And break me down/Knock me out!/Knock me out!/Cuz I've waited for all my life/To be here with you tonight

So who listens to Kill Hannah anyway?If we look for the sold CD’s we’ll found on that they have a really big number of fans and listeners.The fans of the band are easily to recognize because they aren't typical rockers because they are wearing tight jeans, coloured t-shirts and colored plaid shoes.The hair is also personalized: the girls have red, green, purple, blue strips if the hair isn’t already all painted.
Young people of all ages wearing emblazoned shirts with the band gather at the concerts and keep live the atmosphere by singing all the band’s lyrics. The band released its fifth album, Wake Up the Sleepers, in 2009 on the independent label Original Signal Recordings.
