Long time ago,people needed that they must change their appearance.To be more beautiful or because of their faith, several changes were necessary ,especially outer transformations.Now,they use the help of the modern medicine for aesthetic surgeries.Others,instead,they stop at tattoos and body piercing
Piercing is the oldest way to chance their body' aspect.In the past ,this form of mutilation was necessary as a respect for the cultural traditions.Nowadays,it became a fashion trend.
This physical change to express believes,first appeared 5 000 years ago and it was used to reveal power,courage and,because were used expensive jewelry ,wealth.

This event had a strong impact because between 1920 and 1960 ,especially in America ,the two world wars made humanity to focus more on the material problems.With financial issues and people that starve to death,this form of manifestation was no more popular.
Thanks to the hippie generation and,later,punk generation,it seemed that the world was moving again.
